Student Services

1. Guidance and counseling

Guidance and counseling provided by the English Literature Study Program to students is in the form of:

1. Consultation and student assistance by guardian lecturers in study planning, filling in KRS, revising KRS, and distributing KHS. Students are required to meet the guardian lecturer at the beginning of each semester to communicate their study plans and retrieve the results of the previous semester's studies.

2. KKL and KKN guidance.

3. Consultation on student final assignments (projects and theses).

Spiritual Service

Spiritual services for students are under the coordination of the faculty, which include:

1. Places of worship (mushola and its equipment) and

2. Allocation of funds for the development of spiritual student activity units: Islamic spirituality (KMMS) and Christian/Catholic spirituality (PMK/PRMK).

3. accompanying lecturers to foster activities carried out by spiritual UKM. Spiritual UKM carry out routine and incidental activities related to the celebration of religious holidays.

1. PKM Guidance

PKM (Student Creativity Program) guidance is coordinated at the faculty level with a focus on student activities being able to implement academic skills and develop independence and an attitude of responsibility in teamwork. Guidance is carried out starting from disseminating information on receiving proposals for funding, selecting proposals, and guiding in the implementation and research reports.

2. Journalism Training

Journalism training is coordinated at the faculty level by integrating it with the activities of UKM Hayam Wuruk (UKM journalism). This training is usually held in a series of activities to recruit new members.

3. Theater Workshop

Theater workshops are coordinated at the faculty level by integrating them with UKM EMKA activities (UKM Theater Emper Campus).

4. LKTI

The Scientific Writing Contest is organized by the faculty as a competition for all FIB students, including English Literature students, and is a means to develop creative thinking and hone logical and analytical thinking skills.

 

5. Student Choir Training

The student choir consists of students from various study programs and conducts regular exercises. In important events, such as graduations or seminars, student choirs are also involved.

 

6. BEM (Student Executive Body)

Students also have the opportunity to become 'student representatives' through UKM BEM and learn to voice the interests of students at the faculty level.

7.EDSA

EDSA or the English Department Student Association is an English Literature student organization at FIB Undip. This organization is a place for students to study, explore and develop organizational abilities and skills, leadership, teamwork, and public speaking. In addition, EDSA is a discussion forum for students when they face difficulties in their studies. EDSA's activities are very diverse, including e-camp (English Camp) for new students, basic leadership training, cultural promotion, English Literature Study Program promotional roadshows for high school students, teaching English, and so on. 8. Debate Group

English debate training activities are held regularly and programmed. Study Program facilitates participants (Undip English Literature students) by bringing in professional trainers (couch). Debate practice is conducted 2x (twice) a week. In addition to routine training, the English Debate Club aims to select a core team of 12 (twelve) students, and this team will later take part in debate competitions, both at the local, national and international levels. One of the regular competitions he participates in is the Inter-Faculty debate competition.

 

9. Compendium Student Journal

The student journal is a forum for student academic expression in the form of scientific writings. This journal has been initiated since 2016 and was inaugurated in early 2017 by Study Program. The managers of this journal are students who are assisted by lecturers as supervisors, and Compendium Journals will be published periodically online every six months. The writings published are the work of students, which have gone through a review process by the lecturer. 1.PPAs

PPA scholarships are awarded by the faculty to students who have good academic achievement, as indicated by a GPA ≥ 3. There are 17 students from the English Language and Literature Study Program who received this scholarship.

 

2. BBM

This scholarship is given to students who economically need to get help. There were 7 students from the English Language and Literature Study Program who received this scholarship.

 

3. Aim for a Mission

This scholarship is given to new students who are selected based on their intellectual abilities and economic conditions. There were 39 students from the English Language and Literature Study Program who received this scholarship.

4. Dissemination of Student Information

Dissemination of Student Information

To disseminate information related to student affairs, such as offers for competitions, research, training or scholarships, the Faculty under the coordination of the Assistant Dean III concentrates all this information through the faculty's student affairs section by posting the information on the bulletin board and uploading it on the Faculty's website (https://fib.undip) .AC ID/). In addition, study programs are also asked to post similar information on the study program announcement board so that any information can be known by all students.
